Mel Kiper 2024 NFL Draft Grades: Eagles, Cardinals, Ravens Top Rankings
Saturday marked the official conclusion of the 2024 NFL draft grades, and ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. published his rankings of the selection classes from each of the 32 clubs.
Which teams were graded
Kiper gave the Baltimore Ravens, Arizona Cardinals, and Philadelphia Eagles excellent ratings. While the Cardinals selected the best wide receiver available in the 2024 class, the Eagles concentrated on strengthening their defense at the beginning of the draft. With each of their first six selections, the Ravens adopted a more balanced strategy, rotating between offensive and defensive players. Philadelphia and Arizona both scored an A, while Kiper gave Baltimore a B+.
2024 NFL Draft Grades for Philadelphia Eagles
The 2024 NFL draft for the Philadelphia Eagles erupted as the Eagles began the draft by selecting two cornerbacks: Quinyon Mitchell of Toledo, the No. 22 overall choice, and Cooper DeJean of Iowa, near the top of the second round. Kiper loved the team and the guy from Philadelphia that was selected in the third round. “[Howie] Roseman landed both of my top-ranked corners in Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell, though DeJean has the versatility to play safety too,” he stated. “
As I wrote Friday night, the Eagles crushed Day 2, also getting my favorite outside linebacker in the class in Jalyx Hunt.” Kiper also highlighted Philadelphia’s activity during the course of the draft, as the club completed eight deals over the course of the weekend. That amounted to the highest since 1990.
Who were selected into Arizona Cardinals in the 2024 NFL Draft
Using the No. 4 overall pick, the Cardinals selected Marvin Harrison Jr. of Ohio State, landing them a new No. 1 receiver for Kyler Murray. Kiper was pleased with Arizona’s selections later in the draft, which included Day 3 selections like Miami cornerback Jaden Davis and Texas Tech safety Dadrion Taylor-Demerson. “Arizona added even more to the secondary with corner Elijah Jones, safety Dadrion Taylor-Demerson and corner Jaden Davis, each of whom was a value on my board,” Kiper stated. “Christian Jones is a steal in my rankings — I have him at No. 98 overall.”
Although Baltimore’s score wasn’t as high as that of Arizona or Philadelphia, Kiper’s excellent grade was mostly due to the team’s early 2024 NFL draft grades and selections.

He was a fan of Washington lineman Roger Rosengarten (the Ravens selected him with the 62nd overall pick) and Clemson’s Nate Wiggins, a first-round cornerback. “Nate Wiggins is one of the fastest cornerbacks in this class, a long and gifted cover man with good instincts,” Kiper stated. “At 173 pounds, he may be on the light side, but he will eventually fill out.” One of my top picks overall, Roger Rosengarten, may move in and start as right tackle in 2024.”
